RasGas, the Qatar liquefied natural gas business, has awarded a multi-million dollar contract to logistics provider Agility covering global freight forwarding, transport and customs clearance for a period of four years, both locally and around the world.

“Qatar is crucially important to the growth of Agility in the region and this deal represents an important milestone in our company’s six year history locally. During this time we have invested substantial sums in Qatar to ensure that our global reach and local capabilities match to deliver unparalleled standards of service for important clients such as RasGas,”  said Elias Monem, Agility CEO Middle East and North Africa.

RasGas is owned by Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil RasGas. It operates production facilities to treat, liquefy and export LNG to countries across Asia, Europe and USA. Based in Ras Laffan, Qatar, RasGas currently produces over 20 million metric tonnes of LNG per year.
