Nightfreight takes new CEO
Nightfreight has appointed Ian Smith in the new position of chief executive officer.

Managing director Peter Loudon and group financial director Ian Horsfall will now report to Smith.

He joined Nightfreight in March as a consultant and then became chief operating officer and a member of the board of directors.  He has contributed across the business, in particular to the ‘white glove’ specialist handling Pacemaker, dedicated logistics and Deliver2Home delivery channels.

Smith has over 20 years’ experience of senior management and board level appointments in third party logistics with some of the world’s leading brands, including Exel Logistics, NYK Logistics, Unipart and Tibbett & Britten.
