Achilles launches the Achilles EU Academy

Achilles and its EU Services team has launched an Achilles EU Academy to provide more in-depth training in EU procurement rules for organisations in the utilities and public sector.

It’s aim is to help procurement teams in the UK and Ireland to fully understand and comply with EU procurement legislation when placing contracts. Topics covered include the understanding of EU rules, frameworks, sustainability under EU rules, compliant OJEU notices, selection and award criteria, remedies and pulling it all together.

The Academy work with teams of typically ten-15 people over a six month period and take them from first principles to the issuing of fully compliant contracts. The training is conducted in-house or through open courses that commence in February.
