New chief for DHL forwarding business

Deutsche Post AG has appointed Roger Crook to the board of management as member responsible for DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. He replaces Hermann Ude who has stepped down as a result of what it described as “diverging views on the future strategic focus of the company”.

Ude will leave the business on 31st March.

Crook was previously in charge of the business unit DHL Express Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is a member of the global board of management for Express and in addition oversees all global sales activities of the business unit. In his new role he will be based in Bonn and Singapore.

The group also extended the board member mandate of Ken Allen, chief executive of DHL Express, by another five years.
