Ruud succeeds Scharwath as regional manager at K+N

Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Yngve Ruud as regional manager North West Europe.  He takes over in October, succeeding Tim Scharwath who is becoming a member of the management board.

Ruud has built up Kuehne + Nagel’s Norwegian organisation during the last 16 years, after his own company was merged with Kuehne + Nagel Norway in 1995.

Chief executive Reinhard Lange said: “We are very pleased to announce an internal candidate as our new regional manager of North West Europe. I am sure, that under the leadership of Yngve Ruud the regional team will continue the successful development of this important region.”
Kuehne + Nagel’s North West European network spans around 120 locations in six countries including Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and is  headquartered in Uxbridge.

IPP Logipal parent group appoints new pooling director

IPP Logipal parent company the Faber Halbertsma, a pallet producer and second largest pallet pooling business, has appointed Roeland Moens to the new role of pooling director, and to the group’s board.

Moens will oversee the strategic development of pooling brands, IPP Logipal and PRS Return System. He will also drive the geographic expansion and service development of these businesses in their key markets.

He has previously held managing director roles in Benelux, France, Spain, Portugal and UK. Moens was also general manager Benelux and vice president RPC Europe with Chep.

Paragon hires Green

Printing and document management firm Paragon, has appointed Tony Green as Senior Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities of the new role will include supply chain management systems, purchasing decisions and relationship management with all third party suppliers.

Malov promoted at WiseTech

WiseTech Global, an international software firm, has appointed Kate Malov to the role of chief financial officer.

She has been with CargoWise since 2008. In 2010 she was promoted to the senior management team as GM Finance. With an MBA in Finance, she has extensive experience in the logistics and supply chain industries and has a strong track record of delivering of optimising the CargoWise business and its global processes.
