Logistics firm ACS&T Logistics has invested some £1 million in 14 new vehicles, to meet rising demand.
The new vehicles will operate from ACS&T’s distribution centres and form part of the company’s programme of investment.
Malcolm Johnstone, managing director, said: “This investment is a combination of expansion and renewal in our need to meet customer demand. In recent months we have secured a series of new clients and negotiated new, extended contracts with several long term customers including Young’s Seafood and 3663.”
ACS&T operates from four centres in Grimsby, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough. It has 12 cold stores, three ambient stores, comprehensive co-packing facilities and a shared user multi-temp transport fleet.
