FairFuelUK has hit out at the government for its lack of response to its online petition about the need to cut fuel duty, which attracted support from more than 100,000 people in just over eight weeks.
The group said: “We have attended two meetings of the Back Bench Business Committee of the House of Commons which decides on what should be debated and when.
This committee are now saying that they do not have enough time to allocate for the debate on this, the most vital of national issues. They say that the government has not given them the time.
“However, we get the impression that the government are saying that there is enough time. We now believe that our campaign is being pushed from pillar to post.”
