Palletline opens Scottish hub

Palletline has opened a hub at Cumbernauld for Scottish and Irish traffic. The move will reduce road miles for Scottish members on freight bound for Scottish destinations.

It will also enable the introduction of additional services including a next day service into Ireland from Scotland and return to meet growing customer demand.

Cumbernauld is Palletline’s fourth hub – it also has sites at Birmingham, London and Manchester.

“Recent growth in demand has seen volumes reach a critical mass where it simply makes sense to consolidate freight in Scotland rather than transport across additional miles to our other hubs,” said managing director Kevin Buchanan.
