Chevrolet has signed a three-year contract with Acumen Automotive Logistics for delivery of cars from Portbury docks to the Midlands, North Wales and Northern England.
The contract, which began on the 1st January, has subsequently been increased to include North American produced Cadillac and Corvette vehicles.
Acumen has been upgrading its Coventry hub to meet its planned expansion in automotive logistics.
Chevrolet is Acumen’s first contract with a General Motors’ company and also the first from Portbury. It will compliment the company’s existing traffic from the Midlands to the South and South West of England with anticipated annual volumes of between 5,000 and 10,000 vehicles including fleet vehicles.
