Gist is renaming its Dutch businesses The Van Dongen, Soonius and Peeman Transport Twill to Gist. The previous business names will disappear in order to consolidate the brand.
The strategy for a unified brand presence is intended to reduce confusion over the many existing sub-brands and to promote its larger, value adding supply chain offerings.
Gist provides supply chain operations for major retailers as well as managing global end-to-end supply chains for fresh produce, flowers and plants. The business specialises in managing time and temperature sensitive products.
“The move to one Gist brand is an exciting change; it will reinforce to our customers and the industry as a whole the value and expertise we offer throughout the supply chain. Although business in each area will continue as usual, we anticipate this move will deliver further value for our existing and future customers,” said Martin Gwynn, chief executive.
