Prins UK is launching the Prins DieselBlend system which makes it possible to convert diesel engines to dual-fuel engine by replacing a certain quantity of diesel by CNG. It reckons the system can deliver a return on investment in less than 12 months.
The DieselBlend system, developed by Prins Autogassystemen of the Netherlands, is installed beside the original engine management system, and is suitable for all common rail diesel engines.
The system determines the optimum balance between diesel and LPG or CNG by using parameters such as engine speed, turbo pressure, amount of diesel injected, position of the accelerator pedal, engine torque and the temperature of the coolant.
Prins UK offers CNG retrofit conversions for Euro 5 engines for: Renault Premium, DAF XF/CF, Mercedes Actros, MAN TGX, and Iveco Stralis.
