Morrisons picks Clipper for clothing launch

Morrisons has launched Nutmeg, its first own-brand clothing range, using Clipper to handle the logistics.
The Nutmeg distribution centre operation is being serviced from a Clipper site in Leeds. Clipper also handles deliveries to Morrisons stores nationwide. The contract covers all services from inbound receipt, QC, flat/hanging storage, pick and pack, cross dock, transport and the returns solutions.
“The team has worked tirelessly to ensure that we hit our tight timelines and have yet again proved they are agile and very capable. I am looking forward to growing the Nutmeg operation and seeing our relationship with Clipper flourish,” said Graeme Douglas, non-food supply director at Morrisons.
And Nigel Hinds, operations director at Clipper said: “As this is a new business opportunity, Morrisons needed comfort of working with a logistics provider that can hit the ground running. Our extensive experience of initiating new contracts in a short time frame, and our history of handling some of the UK’s biggest brands, meant that we were the perfect partner.”
