Updated tanker improves productivity

Interoute Transport Services has spent more than £500,000 in new tankers for its ongoing contract with Cargill Incorporated, an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services.

The new tankers are part of an investment programme aimed at introducing better equipment and state-of-the-art technology that will improve productivity across the board, and standardises the fleet.

A number of the new tankers have twin compartments. This, along with the increased pay load of up to 29 tonnes, has reduced the number of journeys which has made a considerable difference following the introduction of the Working Time Directive.
