AMEC Developments has started construction on five new industrial units at Valencia Park, part of the Wakefield Europort, at the M62’s J31. With two speculative units already sold, the remaining three high specification buildings are receiving considerable interest.
The remaining units range from 1,395sq m to 2,140sq m, and are expected to be completed this July. Each has its own parking and loading area, 7m eaves, roller shutter loading doors and are available on freehold or leasehold.
The initial two units have been sold to Online Packaging, an industrial packaging materials supplier, and Viscount Insulations, which installs cavity wall and loft insulations. Taking more than 1,395sq m, they will be on site in the early summer.
Claire Lloyd, development surveyor at AMEC Developments, comments: “The units that we are speculatively building will fulfil the demand for quality, well-located and highly prominent industrial facilities. With the advantage of Wakefield Europort’s strategic location on the M62, two units were taken immediately. We are now eager to discuss terms on the remaining three units with further interested parties.”
Already located at Wakefield Europort are several high profile companies including Asda, Scottish and Newcastle, Royal Mail, Linpac Plastics, Wickes and Warburton’s ‘Super Bakery’, which is currently under construction.
