Work has now started on Aspect, the third phase of the acclaimed West Moor Park development at J4 of the M18 near Doncaster. It is scheduled for completion by October.
Aspect, which is a joint venture between Shepherd Developments and the Scarborough Development Group, comprises a warehouse or production unit of about 11,440sq m, including 465sq m of offices.
Phase 1 (14,600sq m) of West Moor Park was pre-let to American company Fellowes and Phase 2, at 13,020sq m, is the largest speculative warehouse ever built in South Yorkshire. It was successfully sold to Irish company Anglo Beef Processors.
West Moor Park is now nearly full and includes very large distribution units for IKEA and Next.
Richard Squire, the development manager of Shepherd Developments, says: “The unprecedented success so far of West Moor Park is a graphic illustration of the renaissance of the South Yorkshire region during the past five years.
The Aspect development is extremely well situated off J4 of the M18, which is relatively uncongested, and has been been successful in attracting some of the UK’s leading companies.”
Joint agents for the Aspect development are Jones Lang Lasalle and GVA Grimley.
