How to deliver a Ferrari

Ferrari Dealer Graypaul Nottingham has chosen a Renault Midlum with a special sliding curtain body to handle delivery of new Ferraris in the UK.

The 14 tonne Renault Midlum 190.08 is fitted with a David Bland Engineering sliding curtain body. Graypaul is in the process of ordering another two Midlums for delivery next year. The Renaults will be replacing the company’s current Iveco and MAN trucks.

Sean Bates, aftersales manager at Graypaul said: “We were very impressed with RH Commercial Vehicles as a dealer and the new Renault Midlum. We have been able to tailor the vehicle to suit our needs and feel that it maintains the specialised image that our customers expect. Logistically it also made sense to switch to Renault Trucks. The site is situated close to our business and is able to offer Ministry and tachograph testing on site, a 24/7 service and local parts supply.”

*   CPL Petroleum has taken delivery of 22 Euro 4 Renault Premiums, the first ever Renaults to be bought by the company. 

The vehicles will be replacing trucks on CPL’s 220-strong fleet, currently made up of DAF, ERF and Foden.

In another first for CPL, eight of the new vehicles are Renault Premium Privilege 450.25 tractor units with Optidriver II fully automated gearboxes – the first automatic tractor units on its fleet. The remaining 14 Premium 320.26 distribution vehicles have rear lift and steer axles and are the first Renault trucks to be used in this CPL operation in the UK.

CPL will use the new trucks to deliver heating oil and transport fuels to commercial, industrial and domestic customers throughout the UK. CPL operates from 39 depots in the UK and delivers 1.3 billion litres of petroleum products to businesses and homes every year.
