Forklift truck manufacturer Combilift unveiled the compact Combi-CB model at its tenth anniversary celebration earlier this month.
The space-saving truck measures 1.5 sq m, excluding the forks, and is designed for four-way handling of both palletised goods and long loads, as well as containers for streamlined offloading and transporting products.
Martin McVicar, managing director of Combilift, said: “We noticed a while back that there was a sizable number of potential clients who handled mainly palletised loads and just a small amount of long product, so a conventional Combilift was not the answer for them.”
In order to cope with the additional volume of output the company has also extended its premises by 20,000 sq ft and employed 20 additional staff.
Combilift expects the new model to increase its turnover by ten million euros during 2009.
