Morrisons says it has made alternative arrangements following the news Entertainment UK, the wholesale division of Woolworths Group, has gone into administration.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “We have made alternative supply arrangements to ensure that we have availability for our customers. We don't foresee any significant availability issues.”

Asda, another E.UK customer, says it too has “already started putting our contingency plans into action”. The spokesperson added: “We are monitoring the situation closely and staying in close contact with the administrators… [we] are confident that customers won’t notice a thing.”

The administrator, Deloitte, says it is in the process of holding “constructive talks” with E.UK’s other major customers, which include Zavvi, along with suppliers.

A number of buyers are said to be interested in the business.
