Schmitz unveils recyclable aerodynamic trailer

Schmitz Cargobull has launched a 99 per cent recyclable S.CS Freepost curtainsided trailer, said to be faster, safer and offer more flexible loading and unloading.
 
The trailer’s lightweight roof has been redesigned so that it tapers to the front to provide a more streamlined effect. This has improved the trailer’s aerodynamics and reduced wind resistance, making the trailer more fuel efficient.
 
At the rear the trailer features Schmitz’s new mono hinge rear door design, which, combined with an improved rear door seal, provides better weather protection.
 
The mono hinge doors are also feature double lock rods, which makes them easier to repair.
