Chinese Lighting manufacturer NVC has secured a distribution depot at Horton and Sladen Estate's Hollymoor Point development in Birmingham. The company has taken Unit 301, a 40,584 sq ft warehouse on a five-year term. The building boasts 8.5m eaves, a 50kN/sq m floor loading, and three level access doors. Letting agents M3 and King Sturge were quoting rents of £5.50 per sq ft.

Steve Jacobs, managing director, NVC, said: "The addition of this new facility will establish a national presence and facilitate our expansion plans in this country and Europe."

The developers are currently finalising plans for Phase II, which will create two further industrial units of 52,000 sq ft and 90,000 sq ft. These are currently design and build opportunities, although speculative construction has not been ruled out. Hollymoor Point is near the A38 and has access to the national motorway network through the M5 and the M42 motorways.
