Brain brews £12m deal with Tradeteam

Welsh Brewer SA Brain and Co has signed an eight-year contract with Tradeteam, worth an estimated £12 million.
Under the agreement, Tradeteam will be responsible for delivering products to “on trade” outlets throughout Wales and the South West.
The majority of the operation will be run from the drinks logistics provider’s Welsh distribution hubs in Ebbw Vale and Swansea and will see the company deliver beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks to the SA Brain pub estate.
The remaining 15 per cent of deliveries will be distributed through Tradeteam’s national network to SA Brain’s “take home” and national sales customers.
Tradeteam, part of DHL, will also be responsible for managing all of SA Brain’s stock levels across the network, dealing directly with the brewer’s suppliers and its Cardiff-based brewery.

“It’s really impressed us how quickly they have been able to understand our business, unlock synergies and ensure a smooth transition to their network.”
