Indian logistics firm buys Multipart

TVS Logistics, part of TVS group, one of the largest automotive components manufacturer in India, has acquired UK logistics company Multipart.
A spokesperson from Multipart has confirmed reports from the Indian press, but said a full statement will be issued next week.
Multipart began life as the parts distribution business of Leyland Trucks. In 1993 Multipart Distribution was created through a management buy-in, and in 1995 the company was acquired by Lex Service and renamed Lex Multipart.
In 2008 Multipart Solutions was created through a management buyout.
