i2 releases latest version of transport software

i2 Technologies has released the latest version of i2 Transportation Manager via its FreightMatrix hosted TMS software.

Version 6.3.2 allows companies to minimise overall transportation costs while maximising customer service through constraint management and multiple partner collaboration.

The newest release has extra features for extending transport network partner collaboration and mitigation against future capacity constraints.

These include: partner-enabled dock scheduling, supplier-interactive ready-to-ship workflows for domestic and international processing and a carrier directed financial reconciliation portal for efficient audit collaboration.

It also includes package-based tracking and financial processing for less-than-truckload and parcel intensive shippers and a freight-auctioning extension designed to address critical capacity issues.

“It is important that shippers understand that real transport efficiency can only be realised when there is a focus on both internal, as well as external processes,” said Fabrizio Brasca, vice president of global logistics at i2.
