Confectionery manufacturer Tommy Tucker has awarded Seafield Logistics a warehousing and distribution contract. Tommy Tucker has manufacturing sites located within Nottinghamshire ideally located within a short distance from Seafield’s operation.

Seafield will be storing pallets of finished popcorn, sweets, popping corn and oils at its Worksop warehouse, where it will receive, store, pick and pack confectionery and distribute to Odeon and Vue cinemas nationwide.

Seafield will deliver about 150 loads a week across the UK using dedicated vehicles from the Worksop site. London cinemas will be served from Seafield’s Aylesham depot. It is also receiving two bulk deliveries a week of popping corn from the USA in handball containers which is then transported to the production sites in Worksop and Retford.

The contract will require six additional vehicles which have been acquired including Mercedes and MAN vehicles and a selection of trailers which all include tail lifts.

Simon Stanham, finance director for Tommy Tucker, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Seafield Logistics in building a successful long term relationship for our distribution and warehousing requirements.”
