European fresh pasta producer Giovanni Rana has selected Irish company Oakland International to distribute its pasta products to a major Irish retailer.
Oakland will manage transportation, storage, labelling, and forward distribution of more than 60,000 cases of pasta products in the first year of the contract.
Oakland operates from its 30,000 sq ft distribution centre in Ashbourne, near Dublin, which has ambient and chilled storage facilities.
Oakland Ireland general manager Richard Hill said: "Having created a bespoke transport, storage and distribution solution to fit Giovanni Rana's requirements, we now manage the transport of fresh pasta products from its production sites in Verona Italy and Nivelle in Belgium, storing, picking and undertaking product flash stickering and case label changes, before transporting direct to the retailer's distribution facility."
