Irn-Bru maker AG Barr is to open a 265,000 sq ft warehouse and production plant at Magna Park Milton Keynes.

It has signed a build-to-suit deal with Gazeley for the construction of the facility. Work has started and is due to be completed in four months using Gazeley’s G Track fast delivery system. AG Barr’s fit out will take place after that.

The deal is AG Barr's largest investment in warehousing space south of Scotland. AG Barr's brands include Tizer and Rubicon as well as Irn-Bru.

Operations director Andrew Memmott said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with Gazeley on this major project at one of the UK’s leading warehouse and distribution parks. Value for money, combined with Gazeley’s expertise and certainty of delivery, gives us the confidence that this partnership will be a successful investment.”

* Gazeley has reached a deal with ING Real Estate Development to develop logistics warehouses at key strategic sites throughout Spain.

The first phase of the agreement includes 100,000 sq m of land, which is ready immediately for new development, based within the Casablanca logistics park in Madrid.
