Vantec has officially opened its new 421,000 sq ft warehouse at Turbine Park, Sunderland.
The opening ceremony saw Akira Koyama, president of the Vantec Corporation and Mr Shinya Hannya, senior managing executive officer, visit the site for the occasion.
The Japanese style event saw Mr Koyama carry out the “Eye Colouring” ceremony, which involved him painting the second eye of the traditional Japanese Daruma, signifying the successful completion of the project.
The new facility was built to serve Vantec’s contract with Nissan but could be used by other suppliers in the future.
