Cigarette machine win for DHL

DHL Supply Chain has won a five-year contract with British American Tobacco Vending in Switzerland.

Starting in April, the deal will see DHL manage product sourcing, filling and maintenance of vending machines, cash collection and spare parts, as well as providing a vehicle fleet to perform all vending machine services.

DHL will continue to employ all BATV staff in field force, workshop and back office.

This latest development has allowed DHL to develop its first true end-to-end vending machine solution, which the company is hoping to be the platform for other customers such as those within the soft drinks and confectionery areas.
