Decongestion is key to growth, says CILT president

Decongesting city centres is key to economic growth and the transport sector must collaborate more and look into new techniques to reduce traffic numbers, according to CILT president Jim Steer.

Speaking ahead of the institute’s annual conference, Steer said: “Congestion is the enemy of us all. We need to work together as transport professionals to show what transport as a whole can do.”
