Job Description
This is an excellent logistics job in Basingstoke for a Supply Chain Controller to work with a leading retail-to-retail operation.
In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and distribution of goods. You will also look to maximise commercial opportunities, improve customers satisfaction and ensure that you have the most cost effective inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the delivery plan for products based on demand forecast and optimise the inventory holding
- Proactively manage availability of products and liaise with production and other internal department to reduce customer back orders
- Monitor and update all customer facing information
- Responsible for coordinating and creating sales deliveries in system including monitoring warehouse picking and shipping process.
- Request special delivery arrangements to Logistics Supervisor when necessary.
- Support Vendor Purchasing, selection, compliance and contract price negotiation
- As necessary report, publish, understand and act on KPIs for example: -
- Inventory levels
- Sales achievement
- Back order situation
- Slow moving Inventory
- Long term forecast
- Blocked orders
- Age of sales orders
- Accuracy of Availability dates
The successful candidate must posses highly advanced knowledge of SAP sales order maintenance and processing as well as good to advanced level of IT literacy. You should have experience in scheduling or order management environment and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
The role will suit a self-motivated, proactive and customer focused individual with good communication and negotiation skills. It will be advantageous to have the ability to speak at least one European language in addition to English
