Atlas Ward Structures is working on two state-of-the-art distribution centres on behalf of main contractor Fitzpatrick and ProLogis Developments. The project, in Edmonton, Hertfordshire, comprises two units totalling in excess of 1,000 tonnes of structural steelwork.
The largest structure, measuring 16,750sq m, is being built on a speculative basis and forms part of the ProLogis development programme while the second facility is for a leading retailer of high quality furniture and will be used to satisfy increased customer demand in the region.
Atlas Ward Structures, based in North Yorkshire, is the contractor responsible for the design, fabrication and erection of these sophisticated steelwork facilities. It has worked with Fitzpatrick several times, and forms an integral part of the company’s supply chain.
The distribution warehouses, located close to the A406 North Circular Road, are planned to be fully operational by the end of May 2005 and the overall project value is £1.2M.
