Supershed gets underway in Merseyside

Work has started on a 55,800sq m speculative distribution warehouse at Liverpool International Business Park, next to Liverpool John Lennon Airport in Speke.

In a joint venture with Peel Holdings, which owns the business park and the adjacent airport, Gladman Developments‘ new super shed will comprise 15m eaves, 54 dock levellers and generous floor loadings. It is available for lease at about £4 per sq ft. Gladman director David Gladman says: “This site is strategically located at the edge of the Liverpool conurbation. The demographics are excellent with an extensive local workforce. Its proximity to Liverpool docks is a major advantage for retailers, many of whom now import a large proportion of their products.”

He continues: “The North-west in general and Merseyside in particular, provide excellent value for logistics companies looking for large distribution warehouses”
