Scolmore International, a manufacturer and supplier of electrical accessories and interior/exterior lighting, has plumped for Wrenbridge’s Mariner Park scheme in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
It has paid in the region of £70 per sq ft for Units 3 and 4, which total 46,000 sq ft. Wrenbridge acquired the 10-acre industrial and office complex from Swish Building Products at the beginning of 2007. In October, a £2 million refurbishment programme commenced to create five industrial units and one office building.
Jeff Wilson of Wrenbridge said: “There is a real shortage of good quality buildings in the area. The units are of extremely high quality and in a great location for access to the A51, the A5 and the M42. Now that works have commenced on site, we anticipate strong demand for the remaining units particularly from occupiers wishing to purchase. However, we are also offering the units leasehold.”
Colliers CRE and Calders have been retained to market the remaining three units ranging from 30,000 sq ft to 62,000 sq ft.
