Impatex reports smooth switch to SAD-H

Customs software provider Impatex, has reported a smooth first day of business following the changeover to SAD-H at midnight on 20 January,  saying dual-running of the old and new SAD formats for three months, and its own extensive preparations were responsible for the unexpectedly calm transition.

The Impatex Customs Manager system is used by 14 of the UK’s top 20 IATA airfreight agents, and is used to clear around 50 per cent of all UK airfreight exports and imports.

Managing director Peter Day said: “Our system enabled us to identify those users who were hanging back on their preparations to switch, so we were ably to direct our efforts to providing extra support and guidance in those areas where it was most needed.
