Wincanton is looking at further acquisitions both the UK & Ireland and Mainland Europe, the group said it in it pre-close trading statement.
In January it took over the container logistics business of Hanbury Davies and made an acquisition in the construction sector in November last year. In addition, a small infill acquisition in Germany strengthened it high-tech operations.
Graeme McFaull, Wincanton chief executive, said: “We expect to report another good performance in the year to 31st March 2008. We continue to see attractive opportunities for Wincanton both in terms of organic growth and further acquisitions.”|
Overall, the group said it expected the current year “to be another period of operational, financial and strategic progress for Wincanton, both in the UK & Ireland and the continent.
“We continue to anticipate that the results for the full year to 31st March 2008 will be in line with our expectations.”
