BP Zhuhai Chemical Company (BPZ) has renewed its contract with Ceva Logistics for the provision of warehouse management and operation services.
The Chinese purified terephthalic acid (PTA) firm originally contracted Ceva in 2002 to operate the facility, totalling 100,000 sq ft facility. It is manned by approximately 200 Ceva.
Graeme Stewart, general manager of BPZ, said: “With strong support from CEVA, we have achieved the safety goal of ‘Zero Lost Time Incidents’ in 2014, an excellent achievement that is well appreciated by us at BPZ.”
Since 2002, Ceva has rolled out site safety campaigns and set up the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) to provide the site with emergency response, fire facilities inspection and chemical waste disposal services.
Jaap Bruining, managing director of contract logistics for Ceva in Greater China, said: “In China, demand for PTA has grown in recent years, fuelled by the country’s thriving manufacturing sector.”
