Primark, working with PAC-D, won the Environmental Improvement Award at the 2019 Supply Chain Excellence Awards last November. Logistics Manager caught up with Dean Moss, packaging and compliance manager at Primark, to find out more about the project and the partnership.
To stand on the stage at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards and hold up the Overall Winner trophy requires an organisation to have convincingly demonstrated to the judges that it has all the characteristics and attributes of a world-leading supply chain.
Technology drives the supply chain, but the judges of the BluJay Solutions Award for Technology Innovation were not looking for an off-the-shelf solution, they wanted a winner that demonstrated new or innovative way that has quantifiable benefits to the operation of the organisation’s supply chain.
Customer service should be a core focus for any supply chain seeking excellence. This year, two entries were close runners for the trophy – one of which was last year’s category winner.
There were several high scoring entries in this category and Bentley with CEVA Logistics was right up there with the top runners. However, the two strongest ones were – Screwfix with Wincanton and Flex.
