DPD extends Mercedes partnership

DPD Group has entered into a contract with Mercedes-Benz Vans for fleet provision services across sites in southern Scotland, Aberdeen and Carlisle.

The agreement will see Mercedes provide vehicles for DPD’s Region 6, which, as well as Aberdeen and Carlisle, covers Dundee, two sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Complete Care solution developed for DPD covers an extensive list of vehicle items, including: routine service costs with all parts and labour, lubricants, all friction materials and all clutch friction materials; MOT test fees; and repair or replacement of engine, gearbox, rear axle, all other mechanical components, all computing management systems and all other electrical components.

Charlie Shiels, executive director – Central Operations at the DPD Group, said: “This decision takes our relationship with Mercedes-Benz to a new strategic level.”

DPD Group hopes to enroll its entire fleet of Mercedes-Benz vans into the Complete Care Service Contract over the next two years.
