Jigsaw has added PC Howard, Nolan Transport and Montgomery Transport to its ten-strong network.
Peterborough-based PC Howard operates a fleet of more than 100 vehicles working from three depots in the East of England and a fourth in Swindon.
Dublin-based Nolan Transport has depots in Ireland, South Wales, Central England, London and Northern France. The company’s addition to Jigsaw’s network provides coverage in and out of Southern Ireland for the first time.
Newtownabbey-based Montgomery Transport handles over 100,000 shipping movements each year. It operates from sites throughout Northern and Southern Ireland and the UK mainland. The company is owned by Ballyvesey Holdings, which also owns existing Jigsaw Partner Haulier, Birds, based in the West Midlands.
Andy Humpherson, Jigsaw’s managing director, said: “More partner hauliers in more locations, including Ireland for the first time, allows us to configure contracts more easily to exploit route and load synergies and efficiencies to drive down costs and increase service levels which is what our customers demand.”
