Refurbished warehouse brought to Chippenham market

A lack of Grade A space has given confidence to landlords to refurbish second-hand space and bring it to market.

Property agents Alder King and Huw Thomas Commercial are marketing The Hub, a 90,000 sq ft warehouse in Chippenham.

James Gregory of Alder King said: “ The landlords have owned this building since its initial construction in the very early 1990s and it is pleasing to see that they have the confidence to upgrade this significant building. It will receive a very good level of interest, largely due to the scarcity of large quality buildings in an excellent sought after location”

The property benefits from two secure yards to either side of the building. In addition, it has plentiful parking to the front and is a prominent building close to the front of Bumpers Farm Industrial Estate near the Chippenham Retail Park. It is capable of sub-division to provide two separate units of approximately 45,000 sq ft each.

The previous occupier vacated after 25 years to expand to larger premises in Trowbridge and the owners have carried out an extensive refurbishment programme. The building has been reclad and the windows replaced with new double glazing as well as upgrading the office and toilet facilities. The open plan square shaped building now boasts a painted floor and all the warehouse heating and the loading doors have been upgraded.
