Matalan has extended its national warehousing contract with Wincanton for a further three years.
Wincanton, which has been working with the retailer since 2003, will continue to operate the dedicated 375,000 sq ft Corby warehouse.
The operation will handle seven million cases and four million hanging garments per year, serving 102 Matalan stores in the south, via a fleet of 35 tractors and 110 trailers.
Wincanton will also continue to operate the retailer’s national transport network for deliveries to stores across the UK.
Terry Broadhead, logistics and imports controller at Matalan, said: “We have established a solid relationship with Wincanton since the beginning of this contract.
“The team has worked very closely with us to achieve results that make our business stronger and there was no contest in deciding that Wincanton should continue managing out Corby warehouse in tandem with it running our transport network.”
