Wincanton has invested more than £1 million in tractor units for its contracts with HJ Heinz and Adidas.
The two contracts are managed from Wincanton’s Wigan regional planning centre. The new fleet will be put to the test during the coming “soup season” (October to January) when Wincanton will deliver more than 200 loads a day for Heinz, while Adidas will require the fleet to deliver 50 loads per day throughout the contract.
Richard Burnett of Wincanton said: “Alongside our regional planning centre, this latest fleet renewal highlights our commitment to investing in our customers’ business as well as providing them with the most effective and efficient service available.”
