Huyton Plumbing and Heating has implemented Masternaut Three X’s integrated mobile workforce management and vehicle tracking system, helping it to cut its fuel bill by one third.
The real-time system has optimised the installation and maintenance operation, enabling rapid response with enhanced levels of customer service.
The web-based system has been tailored to meet the individual requirements for each of the company’s clients using the satellite tracking system, together with the X-Service Pro mobile workforce and VisuLive customer service applications.
Phil Crosby, director of Huyton Plumbing and Heating, said: “Having a robust electronic real time system to manage heating, plumbing, electrical and general building operations is an essential requirement for the majority of our customers and it is also helping us to win new business.
“It has eradicated lost job sheets and duplication, as well as giving our key clients an instant view of all scheduled jobs and work in progress, with proof of delivery.”
He added: “We have made significant savings on paper as all jobs are sent directly to our engineers using PDAs, van insurance savings, our response times have reduced as the system enables us to get staff to site quicker, jobs are more easily allocated as we can instantly see who is doing what and where. We even recovered a stolen van using the system before any tools and materials could be removed.”
