Inchcape Fleet Solutions is backing the 2009 National Road Safety Week with a series of workshops for customers and staff and a donation to the organisers, road safety charity Brake.
Earlier this year, Inchcape Fleet Solutions signed up as a Brake corporate donor to further promote the importance of occupational road risk management.
During Road Safety Week 2009, which takes place from 23rd -29th November and has the theme ‘Not a drop, Not a drag’ – never drink any alcohol or take any illegal or impairing drugs before driving – Inchcape Fleet Solutions is:
* Holding road safety seminars on Thursday, 26th November for around 40 customers in conjunction with risk management partner Applied Driving Techniques. The focus will be on the importance of implementing measures to deliver legislative compliance and cost control particularly through hazard awareness, e-learning and drink and drug use awareness. Customers will also be able to experience a driving simulator.
* Holding similar road safety workshops for staff on Friday, 27th November focusing on hazard awareness training and information on alcohol and drug awareness and the impact its use has on road safety. Additionally, employees will also use the driving simulator to raise risk awareness.
* Friday, 27th November has also been designated BrakeBright! Day – a dress down day with a difference – with staff dressing in bright clothes and donating cash to Brake for the privilege.
