RH Freight is set to introduce two daily services between the UK and Lithuania and Latvia. Previously the route was served once a week.
Ian Baxter, RH’s managing director said: “We have seen steady consignment growth to Eastern Europe in recent years and regard the new services as filling a gap in this market.
“Freight forwarding to Lithuania and Latvia has traditionally been small scale so providing a daily service is a real leap forward.”
RH Freight proposed the new services, which will be routed via Poland, as a result of its recent agreement with international logistics group Raben.
RH Freight handles 400,000 shipments per year. It delivers daily to 26 partner depots, twice weekly to seven partner depots and once weekly to two partner depots across Europe.
