Sibelco UK, which supplies sand, has renewed its contract with Seafield Logistics for a further three years.
Seafield will manage the distribution of sand from ten UK quarries operated by Sibelco (formerly WBB Minerals) to customers in the UK. It will also take over full management of all the sub-contractor operations at these ten sites. In the coming months it is anticipated that additional benefits will be realised by the increased deployment of the DPS transport planning system and synergies achieved by the integration of other Seafield traffic.
Richard Whitelock, Sibelco UK’s commercial director said: “Effective distribution is central to our business model. We’ve built a solid working relationship with Seafield and I’m pleased that this will continue with the new contract.”
Mark Strong, managing director of Seafield Logistics, said: “Seafield Logistics is very pleased to be continuing for a further period a relationship which has grown and developed to the benefit of all the parties over the past five years and I believe the next three years will see the partnership grow stronger still.”
