Davies Turner has added a twice weekly door-to-door service between the UK and Poland, and is now working with Hellmann Worldwide in Poland.
The service will depart from the company’s regional distribution centres in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Dartford.
Philip Stephenson, chairman of Davies Turner, said: “According to Central Statistical Office (GUS) statistics, at a certain point in 2009 Poland was the only EU country to experience a positive GDP growth rate year-on-year.
“In a pragmatic response to that fact, we have teamed up with Hellmann Worldwide in Poland to further develop and strengthen our presence in this key trade.”
Davies Turner and Hellmann Worldwide both belong to System Alliance Europe, the association of independent forwarders, which enables the companies give customers easy access to PODs online and visibility of the door-to-door movement of their consignments.
