Furniture maker Multiyork has chosen Ceva Logistics to provide a three-year contract to provide a white glove two-person home delivery.
Ceva will be responsible for the daily transfer of manufactured items from Multiyork’s factory at Thetford to a dedicated 2,990 sq m warehouse at Mendlesham in Suffolk. It then contacts customers to arrange a convenient delivery date using its customer call centre in Manchester.
The projected 16,000 home deliveries each year will be performed by a combination of Ceva’s shared user home delivery network, Ceva Home and six core delivery vehicles.
Mark Duff, manufacturing and logistics director at Multiyork said: “As part of the tender process, we visited some of Ceva’s home delivery operations and were impressed with the attention to detail and efficiency of their operations.
“Ceva demonstrated their ability to provide the highest levels of delivery service and customer care that Multiyork’s products and customers demand. Working with a supply chain specialist has allowed us to focus more directly on the manufacture and retail of high quality furniture.”
