Honeywell has launched its Dolphin 6500 lightweight mobile computer.
The 6500 features Adaptus imaging technology, designed to provide data collection for linear and 2D bar codes, digital image capture, and signature capture.
The device, which has a 3.5 inch colour touch-screen display and multiple keypad options, incorporates Shift-PLUS power management technology, which provides a battery life of at some ten hours.
The 6500 has an IP rating of 54, which means it can be exposed to dust, dirt and splashing water, and has been built to sustain up to 500 tumbles from one-metre heights.
The device is available with Service Made Simple – Honeywell’s all-inclusive package, which is available in three or five-year programmes; and covers all wear and tear and accidental breakage.
