Polish operator CTL Logistics has run its first train from Hamburg/Bremerhaven through Katy Wroclawskie in south west Poland to Sosnowiec, near Krakow.
This will now run as a weekly service, in partnership with Spedcont that owns the rail terminal at Sosnowiec. It hopes to expand this to a to twice-weekly service.
CTL is aiming to create a network of intermodal connections across Poland. It plans to begin another new service from Hamburg and Bremerhaven to the more central terminal of Piotrkow Trybunalski.
